Being one among the “Panchkarma” procedure, Nasyam is a treatment in which herbal juices, medicated oils are applied though nose for 14 days. This treatment is highly effective for certain kinds of headaches, paralysis, mental disorders, and some types of skin diseases.

      This is type of sudation treatment in which the body is made to perspire by the application of special boluses, which contain cooked herbal rice inside. Two to four masseurs for about 60 – 90 min. per day apply this for a period of 14 days. This treatment is for all type of rheumatism, pain in the joints, emaciation of limbs, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and certain kinds of muscular diseases.

      In this treatment, lukewarm herbal oils are applied all over the body by two – four trained therapists in a special rhythmic way continuously for about 60 – 90 min. per day for a period of 7 – 21 days. This treatment is very useful for Rheumatic diseases like arthritis, paralyses, hemiplegia, paralysis-agitanus, sexual weakness and nervous disorders

      Unlike the modern medicine Ayurveda has very effective cures for Arthritic conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, gout, osteo arthritis, alkalising spondylosis, cervical spondylosis, osteo porosis etc. This programme includes massage, Lepanam, and oil application on affected parts, Kizhi, steam bath, Snehavasthy, Kashaya Vasthi, Pizhichil, Njavarakizhi, Snehpanam and internal medicines.

      “Sira” means head and “Dhara” is continues flow of a liquid. In this treatment some herbal oil, medicated mils, medicated butter milk, are poured on the forehead in a special method for about 40 min. per day for a period of 7 – 21 days. This treatment is for people who suffer from Insomnia, loss of memory, headache, mental tension and certain skin diseases.

      Certain lukewarm herbal oil is poured into a cap fitted on the head and held for 15 – 60 min. per day according to the patient’s conditions for a period of 7 days. This treatment is highly effective for facial paralysis, dryness of nostrils, mouth and throat, severe headache and other diseases of the head.

      This word literally means oral intake of medicated oils or ghee preparations. This is done as a therapeutic procedure and also as a preparatory process during the body purification therapy. In this treatment medicated ghee or oils are given internally in proportionally increasing quantity for a period of 08 - 12 days. This treatment is very effective for osteo arthritis, psoriasis chronic constipation, haemorrhoids etc,.

      Respiratory diseases like bronchial asthma, prolonged cough, allergic trinities, sinusitis etc. can be very effectively treated with this treatment. The programme includes body massage, Urovasthy, Pizhichil, Podikkizhi, Snehavasthy, Kashaya Vasthi, Nasyam and internal ayurvedic medicine.

      This treatment is also known as powder massage. This is found very effective in obesity hemiplegia, paralysis, skin diseases, impaired circulation and similar Kapha predominant diseases. In this procedure two therapists apply certain special Herbal Powders in a peculiar way on the body for about 30 –40 min. daily for a period of 14 – 28 days.

      Here eyes are treated with various herbal preparation to prevent and cure diseases in the eyes.
